Lifebanc transforms death into life. Serving as Northeast Ohio’s only nonprofit organ and tissue recovery organization, Lifebanc began more than 35 years ago as one of the original seven independent organ procurement organizations in the United States. Lifebanc is a leader in the field and is a highly respected recovery organization nationally and regionally.

Lifebanc is governed by a volunteer board of directors who are passionate about the cause of organ, eye and tissue donation. The Lifebanc Board of Directors is comprised of community members, clinicians, recipients and donor family members.

Service Area
Lifebanc serves over four million people and works with 80 hospitals in a 20-county area of Northeast Ohio. We work closely to two local transplant centers and provide lifesaving organs to transplant centers across the U.S.
