Individuals who are African American, Hispanic or Latino, Asian or Pacific Islanders, American Indian or Alaskan Natives make up 60% of the national waiting list for an organ transplant.  Yet, in 2019, only 46% of the people who received a transplant were from these communities. Increasing the gap further is the fact that these communities are less likely to be a registered organ, eye, and tissue donor.

Linda Kimble, Executive Director for MOTTEP Cleveland talks about National Minority Organ Donor Awareness Month and why it is so important to help close the gap on disparities in minority communities and how you can be involved. 

Our mission is to heal & save lives, and despite the circumstances, our team continues to make every effort to ensure fulfillment of our mission.
