VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are the backbone of Lifebanc Community Outreach efforts. Individuals, whether donor family members, recipients, living donors or advocates for the mission, help educate the population of northeast Ohio on the urgent need for registered organ, eye, and tissue donors.

Volunteers for Lifebanc share why donation and or transplantation is important to them to educate people at a variety of community events and programs. Ambassadors are making a tangible difference in our community and are responsible for helping Lifebanc save and heal more lives every year.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Educator – Conduct instruction programs in local schools. Varying opportunities exist for different grade levels: middle school, junior high, and high school. (Additional specific training required.)
  • Office Assistant – Assist with office tasks such as data entry, collating information packets, preparing mailings, etc.
  • Presenter – Share your personal donation-related story with groups of various sizes.
  • Event Volunteer – Assist with varied tasks at health fairs and annual Lifebanc events. (Opportunities announced on an as-needed basis.)

Stories

The stories of our donor and recipient families are powerful, moving celebrations of life, hope, and love that get to the heart of why we do what we do, and the difference we can all make. Lifebanc believes that anyone can be a hero – and we see it every day in the generous decisions of people and families who choose and support organ and tissue donation. We’d like you to meet some of these heroes, and some of the Northeast Ohio neighbors they are helping.
